Ok consider this hypothetical situation:
If you have crappy SAT I scores yet everything else on your application is practically perfect (valedictorian, nationally and internationally recognized EC's, plenty of leadership, athletics, community service ,and a lot of other stuff that shows persistence and dedication). Even your Sat II scores are really high- Is there any possibility that this really crappy SAT 1 score could be overlooked when applying to top schools (Yale, gtown, Chicago etc..)? Or could this one number basically ruin one's chances of attending the top schools that one has been wanting to go to for soo long? Do you guys know of any such cases where students are really smart and have a great application but their SAT's are just terrible yet they still get into great schools? (non-minority and non-recruits)
Thanks

they will not overlook SAT, but it will not hinder ur chances too much unless it was like... uhh 1000/2400. so yes, it is definitely possible for someone with crappy SAT scores to get into a top university

oh thats good 2 hear
thanks

I suggest taking the SAT over after studying for it. Don't just wish and hope that colleges will ignore the score when you still have time to take it over and improve.

well I applied to yale SCEA and it's to late to take them in november...I could take them in january but Im not sure if those could arrive in time for RD or not ...
