I-20 forms

unlike other schools, I did not notice columbia sending out a form regarding I-20 requests. does anyone know if they will automatically issue them or do we need to request them? if so where?

I've been through the isso site and found nothin helpful at all.

i have a similar question

anyone know?

i need to know too

What's an I-20 request? I'm just a curious cat.

its the form issued by the school institutions which international students need to get their Student visas.

OH. I see. cool. thanks.

It is on the isso website (they've also got this excellent pdf file for new international students - click on Incoming Students and Scholars). However, I think you should have gotten a notice about it in the admitted student package, titled 'International Students and Scholars'.

Anyway, information for visa application is at
https://www1.columbia.edu/sec/cu/isso/ay0607/
and the specific page about I-20 request is at
https://www1.columbia.edu/sec/cu/isso/ay0607/avc_instruct.html

I hope that helps...

I have a question myself about visa application... I'm not sure how to word this exactly, it might be a bit of a dumb question, but:

Regarding financial documentation, what exactly is a 'letter from the bank'? Is that just a bank statement? Or an actual letter?
