I have applied to NYU as early decision this November. I knew that NYU only required your highest SAT score.
However, I accidentally sent all my three SAT scores to NYU. My highest score is 1510 (710 reading+800 math) and I got it on the August, but my other two are really bad (1170 and 1270) which I took at the end of my Junior year.
This made me so anxious. Do you guys think this will affect my admission in some ways? I have asked my counselor and she told me that NYU will only see your highest score. But I am still really nervous…
NYU superscores so they should only see the highest combination of sections of all three tests and ignore the rest. I wouldn’t worry about it
edit because I just checked to confirm, on their website it does explicitly say “We will review the highest SAT scores you submit.” I know it’s super stressful and I also would’ve been incredibly stressed but I really think that this isn’t going to completely ruin all your chances, they won’t even look at your lower scores.
Great! Thank you so much!
Just wondering how you improve your score so much?? I’m really keen on NYU as well, but took my first SAT and got a 1190 and I really badly want to get over 1500 like you did. Any advice? Hi did you improve by so much and how long did it take? I’m thinking of taking it for the second time this October
Thanks heaps!
