<p>I’m getting an error, what should I do?
First, make sure that you have entered your NetID and password correctly (that you haven’t mistyped or left your CAPS LOCK key down). You should also be using a recent version of a web browser. Information about supported browsers is available here. Finally, double-check that you aren’t trying to log in while the system is down for maintenance (CAESAR is scheduled to be available 24 hours a day, except between 9:00 pm Saturday and noon on Sunday for maintenance). If you are still having problems, you should call the Information Center helpdesk at 847-491-4357 to find out if your NetID is okay. You may also be having problems if you’ve recently returned to the university and your records haven’t been entered or released for registration yet. <p>I think it might be because my dad hasn’t done our tax returns yet… I’ve been bugging him frantically all month - “DAD they’re going to run out of money! ***!” - but I guess procrastination runs in the family.</p>
<p>bluecow, my family’s tax returns haven’t been filed yet either. and yes, I use that same argument with him (the longer we wait the less money we get) but in reality that’s not at all true.</p>
<p>i was able to set up an account and login just fine, after going to northwestern.edu/login, creating an account and password there, then using the id from the acceptance letter along with the newly created password to log into caesar</p>

<p>How receptive is Northwestern to financial aid appeals? My EFC was zero, and they’re asking my family to pay 20k/year. This is unmanageable, but it’s not like our circumstances have changed since I filled out the FAFSA. NU is my first choice by a mile. What are the chances they’ll increase my package?</p>

<p>Muffintop, I’d definitely contact them, especially if it’s your first choice. If you explain to them how badly you want to go to NU and what your financial situation is, they might give you more aid. Good luck!</p>
