<p>++Overall course load has been fairly rigorous, with a small handful of honors classes and 2 APs (my school doesn't offer many)</p>
<p>++Special circumstances have significantly affected my GPA. My counselor (who apparently thinks highly of me) is writing a note. </p>

<p>++Journalism is my "hook", so to speak. I'm head editor-in-chief of my school's newspaper, I've won awards in the field, and my works have even been published in county newspapers. (I wrote my essay on how journalism has helped me grow as a person, and how being an editor led me to my passion for leadership.)</p>
<p>++I also reported community service, equestrian riding, a part-time job held for over 2 years, and independent language study in the summer.</p>
