I am a senior...who really needs an evaluation on my IVY Chances

you know what helps the stress? close the door to your room, turn on some really bad dance tunes, and boogie down. :D you burn calories (not implying you need to of course!) and relieve stress. AND you dont have to worry about looking stupid in front of anyone!

i live in long island, new york and i didnt get an interview from Dartmouth. Will that affect my chances?

Hah, I didn't know Johns Hopkins CTY recognition would be considered by colleges. I almost forgot about those two years.

How old were you when you got the Johns Hopkins CTY recognition? My son got it in like sixth and seventh grades so he didn't mention it on his apps.

I saw your BU thread, and random question: between an Ivy and a combined program, which would you pick?

Yeah, the idea of JH CTY is that it's for high-achieving MS-ers, so it's only offered to sixth & seventh graders (I think). And colleges only want HS achievements, so I don't see why it'd be relevant here..

it is a hard decision that i hope i will have to make ;-)

While you have achieved a lot, but I just hope your awards list on your application wasn't as redundant as it is here.

Semifinalist in Intel Science Talent Search
Certificate from Senator Schumer recognizing excellence as semifinalist in Intel Talent Science Search 2007

For example, those two things are for the same exact thing.

I agree with Xanatos post. However, I think that Columbia or Cornell are more within reach to you than Dartmouth. U of C is a great school and congrats on your acceptance! The rest is just like Xanatos said....pure crapshoot! The more we analyze it, the more frustrated and depressed we become...

You'll know in a few days hun. Good luck!!!
