So I miss school a lot. And I'm late to school a lot too. Needless to say, I was never one of those annoying kids who coveted perfect attendance awards or whatnot. But I'm worried that maybe colleges might see this negatively? Will they even know? The teachers who hate me for my blowing off their classes all the time are OBVIOUSLY not going to be writing my recommendations, but do you think they would find out otherwise? Attendance isn't on my transcript btw. lol to give you an idea about how bad it is... i missed one of my classes last year 40 times... out of 90.

colleges dont see your attendance record.
i am not sure about the policy in your schoo…but in mine, if you have A LOT of tardies, you get suspended…and yea colleges ask about suspensions, etc.
also just make sure your absences dont keep you from graduating, lol

Maybe you’re a homeschool student in denial

^ maybe, maybe.

@wahkimoon -> lol yeah i hate how i have to keep worrying about graduating… lol i got to keep my credits for my classes despite the absences last year so I don’t think they would keep me from graduating this year because i missed a class one too many times. like i’m still acing the class without really being there

Ohh, my school puts absences on our transcripts, so that’s incentive not to skip school. I guess it depends then :

Why are you missing so many days of school? I think you ad some problems cause i wasn’t sleeping good, so i started taking naps when i get home before dinner and that worked for me.

just laziness… and not liking school.

Well, if it’s that much of a problem, your guidance counselor could include it in her letter. That would suck.

“just laziness… and not liking school.”

lmfaoo i was this same way in sophomore year.

yeah I’m really hoping she just…forgets… that i’m never in school.

I don’t think it’s that crazy, i mean she has like 120 other seniors to write recs for too. but she has mentioned that I should try to come in more often a couple of times… lol that’s always embarrassing.
