I applied for A&S when I really should have applied to AEM at CALS.
The app's already sent in, how do I change it?

Your essay was about AEM?

Could you transfer after youre accepted?

No, my essay was about CAS. I looked and saw that AEM has majors more suitable for me, but I already sent in the app w/o CALS as another choice.
Transferring IF I get accepted might be tough, idk.

Oh, I thought you just ticked the wrong box.
AEM can’t have “more majors for you”. It IS one major.
Second choice rarely gets looked at, as you might know.

Also, transferring into AEM is EXTREMELY difficult, even within Cornell itself. Have fun getting a 3.8+ GPA.

so is there a way for me to change my application from CAS to AEM CALS?

I’m doing an undergrad business major, either accounting or finance.

AEM is a single major. It is not a school. It’s just a regular major at CALS called Applied Economics and Management, but it happens to be very selective compared to other majors in CALS. I’m assuming you applied to CAS for Econ. It is probably LESS selective than AEM. I don’t think there’s a whole lot of use trying to change your app now. If you get in you can worry about trying an internal transfer to CALS to do AEM or to Hotel, where there is a whole “Finance and Accounting” concentration you can follow in your course of study. I can’t give you information on the possibility of changing your app at this point in the process, but I certainty wouldn’t recommend it. I think you should try the Econ major in CAS that you applied for. You’ll most likely end up taking a lot of classes in the AEM dept of CALS anyway (I’m assuming CAS Econ and CALS AEM have a lot of overlap seeing as they are both econ majors).

I doubt there is anyway that you can change your application this late in the game. First of all, you’ll need to write a new essay for CALS. By that time, they would already have all the decisions anyway. Secondly, I doubt they will even let you resubmit an essay changing schools completely as they review your application. Best bet would be to transfer, its not entirely impossible, just difficult. I applied AEM, so we’ll see where that goes…

It wouldn’t reflect good on your application if you change your mind and ask to change now i think…

Well I applied regular decision, if that makes a difference.
