I had a great trip to the US. I spent 5 days in Ann Arbor and 5 days in Chicago. I proposed to my gal and I am now engaged, so that was obviously the highlight of the year. Had Michigan only held on to its 9 point lead, it would have been a perfect vacation. Still, it was an awesome trip.

Good for you Alexandre! :)

It also feels good to see your name back on these boards so welcome back.

Congrats on the engagement :D

You poor bastard! You should have waited for a year when U of M beat Ohio State to propose. (Being 45 is kinda old to be prosposing though!)

I hope your proposal is better than your guarantees.

But I do not see Tressel winning in Ann Arbor this fall. If there is one game I will guarantee this year, it is the Michigan vs OSU game.

All gentle teasing aside, congrats on the engagement and
GO BUCKS!

Congratulations Alexandre! Best wishes to you and the bride-to-be!

While you were gone, my D received her acceptance on-line to L, S, & A and is thrilled. Now she awaits the acceptance package by snail mail (which will hopefully contain an invitation to apply to the Honor's College with 3.96 GPA, ACT 35, SAT IIs 800, 790, and 740) and her audition at the School of Music on January 13th.

Hey congrats Alexandre. With regard to Thanksgiving football games, how 'bout the scarlet 'n cream pounding the Buffaloes 30-3? YEAH! And the drunken student body of Boulder tossing projectiles at referees.

So, just checking...for the UMich application, it goes like this: 1) send online application. 2) have one recommendation. 3) have the school send their school report thing. That's IT, right? -hopes so- Or, better phrased, how long before I should worry about the app being incomplete? Processed 11/17, apparently.

HA!

And hey, this year's Alamo Bowl might just be the Huskers and the Wolverines.

alexandre - Many congratulations on your engagement!

zoogies - You also need to send SAT or ACT scores, if you haven't done that. I had everything marked received as of 11/18 and was updated to complete a week later on 11/25. I used the LiveTalk interactive chat last week to ask an admissions person - she said it usually takes 3-5 days to update to complete. If they have received everything from you as of 11/17, My guess is that you'll hear sometime in January - although could be longer.

collegecountdown: Michigan was one of my four schools (I'm almost sure, anyway, but I can't seem to be able to check) for the Nov SAT, and I know I sent my ACT score. Wolverine Access would say specifically if scores were missing, right?

congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My account shows the date the test scores were received, so if yours doesn't mention the test scores at all, I'd follow up with a phone call to Michigan/College Board to make sure they have them.

Congratulations on your engagement.
