this invalidates any record of my test score that my school has of me, right????

did you already send the score?

well i accidentally sent it to my high school and that’s it. no colleges.
but when time comes for my counselor to fill out my college forms, he can’t put my ACT score on there if i tell him that it is invalidated, right?

I don’t think you can cancel your scores after they are already sent…

LOL how do u cancel scores?

see, this is the one and ONLY thing i like about ACTs-your records are pretty private.
what you do is you write a letter to them requesting them to cancel your score because they need written authorization.

but with the sat, you’re not allowed to cancel anything past the thursday after the test.

im pretty sure your school will allow you to hide the score because if ACT allows you to choose which score to send, your school should too.

thanks elasticity, that is comforting to know =]

Why would you even consider cancelling your score?

You don’t have to send all your test results when your applying…do you?

well, it’s like this big chip on my shoulder.
i don’t want something to accidentally happen (yes you can choose which scores to send)
the bad ACT score compared to my SAT score is like a ghost haunting me…seriously…i get scared that my counselor at school (who has my ACT score…i accidentally sent it to my high school) will fill out my ACT score on the college apps
if i cancel it, i can just tell my counselor that that score is invalid, and she can’t put it down if she was intending to
