I am clueless and have a question

my bill cameout, and its due in a month, but no financial aid is on it. They wanted my 1040 form last month, so I mailed it in. Then, nothing happened. I called, and they said it was not signed. So I mailed in a new signed 1040 form. Now, on the account, it says all documents are received and verified. However, no financial aid is shown. They said that financial aid takes several weeks to be determined or something. The bill is due in like 3-4 weeks, and financial aid is sitll being determined. Am I expected to pay the bill without financial aid. And if so, when my financial aid is determined, whats the point? Will they send me a refund for all the aid Im supposed to get, or will they transfer the aid to next semester???I really have no idea, Im going to call, but please any insight or answers is greatly appreciated. Oh yeah, I definitely am qualified for aid because I got a letter from the state stating my NJ tuition aid grant, and that they will send to school if I pass requirements or something.

On the ASAP front, you have to immediately call the head of the financial aid department of your University and immediately follow that up with an e mail to the head of the financial aid department of your University.

Yes, you should definitely call, most people got their finaid packages several months ago. You are a freshman and accepted without knowing what your cost would be?

nope, i am a sophomore. i got a lot of aid last year, the problem is that I handed in some documents late, so my question is basically.....everyone';s bill was released (and on the bill, it supposed to show your aid received )...since i handed in my documents late, (they requested some 1040 forms a couple weeks ago out of the blue)....the lady said that my bill without the aid will be out on the specific date, but my aid will not be on it, because it takes weeks to process the aid I should receive. So my question is, is it implied that I do not pay the current bill(without aid, so it is mad expensive), and then pay the revised bill with the aid included when it comes out( proabably a few weeks)....or do i pay this bill (expensive since no aid as I stated) anyway as is.....and then when my financial aid is determined in a few weeks, they send me check or somehting.....thanks
