Although I am transferring from a community college, and by now I should know what I want to major in but I am very confused. And the problem is that I already applied to Universities with the major psychology, because I didn't want to apply as undecided. But now when I think about it, I am not sure that psychology is what I want to deal with for the rest of my life. and I kind of regret it now. But I went to my UC app page to see if I can change my major, but I can't! I guess it's too late huh? What should I do??

Hey! Some UCs let you change majors after you’re admitted. From what I understand, its not a problem at UCSD, UCSB, UCD and UCSC (Don’t know about UCI, UCR and UCM…)
UCLA and UC Berkeley are stricter, although I’ve heard of people that changed their majors there too.
You always also have the chance of adding a another major to your psychology major = double major.

What are your career goals?

You should be able to change your major easily if it us not impacted and if you finished a majority of the prereqs. I would consider just staying a whole another year because college is expensive. You don’t want to waste money if you don’t know exactly what u r doing.

A very large number of people get their BA in Psychology but very few of them ever become practicing Psychologists so it is unlikely you would have to deal with it for the rest of your life. Most Psychology majors pursue careers in business, government or go on to Law, Business or Medical school.
