I am curious. Pick one: Stanford, Princeton, MIT

iamtbh, tell us more about this, particularly about the Eating Club stuff:

""Princeton is a breeding ground for lazy descendants of aristocrats who bank on their family name and wish to dine separately from the riff-raff. (That’s why the Eating Club fees are so outrageous.) " "

Prove this claim:

Were you literate, you would have noticed the colon. I was referring to the subsequent quotation.

Prove this claim:

datalook, your economics comparison is a little off

[Rankings - Economics - Graduate Schools - Education - US News and World Report](http://grad-schools.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-graduate-schools/top-economics-schools/rankings)

iamtbh, so you are an intenational student from India that got rejected from Princeton and now feels completely inferior to anything “Princeton”.

That explains it all

"I didn’t apply. As an international student, I am fully aware that HYSM’s global reputation far exceeds that of Princeton. "

I am not Indian. Are other Princetonians so xenophobic and/or racially insensitive? Your reputation precedes you.

so iamtbh, as an International student from India, once you finish the part-time night school, do you have to go back home and work in one of those Indian calling centers?

Is this why you continue to attack Princeton?

Princeton, based on prestige, my personal opinion, and the fact that i live in CA, New Jersey sounds good for a new scene. Ivy.

I told you that I am not Indian, but that is not the real issue. Most people find racial- and ethnically-based humor to be distasteful, except for you and some other Princetonians:

http://www.dailyprincetonian.com/2007/01/17/17109/

but iambh, I am a minority myself who came from a poor high school to Princeton, and I also was an officer of one of the top 3 Eating Clubs…

oops, there goes your elitist theories

so you are asian eh?

no wonder you got rejected from Princeton.

Although if you notice, Princeton’s Asian student population percentage wise is among the highest of the Ivy Leagues, but not as high as UC Berkeley, UCLA or UCSD

I am going to ignore the stupid inter-school bickering…
for me, I would pick princeton
you’re doing engineering- I would pick MIT hands down. purely for academics of course. for social life/weather, stanford wins

I was thinking the same thing.

Yeah that’s me…
Rejected at H and P and waitlisted at 4 other ivies+duke
I’m deciding between williams and georgetown SFS (and NYU stern)

What makes you think I am Asian? Because I didn’t find the Princeton article funny? To me, it’s morally reprehensible to single out any racial or ethnic group.

And seriously, your Princeton “reject,” “part-time night school” and “community college” comments are getting old. I’ll say it again. I did not apply to Princeton. But I don’t know how I can prove a negative.

I could say prove it, but I won’t. Say what you want about the Eating Clubs; they are a historical reminder of a more discriminatory time. Just because a poor minority becomes an officer does not make the Eating Clubs any less elitist or exclusive in the same way that a poor minority who makes Fortune 500 CEO does not make corporate America any less of an “old boy’s network.” The fact that you rank the Eating Clubs (top 3 vs. not top 3) suggests that there exists a stratified society within “Old Nassau.”

So? Princeton’s Jewish American student population percentage wise is among the lowest of the Ivy League. Should we assume Princeton is still anti-Semitic?

iamtbh, so what country in Asia are you from?

do they teach you to feel inferior to all of your peers like you have shown in this message board?

so what happened, you did not get into the Frat or secret society at the school that you are attending?

must be tough to experience all this rejection

then you blame it on everyone else…

terrible stuff

Stupefy, please. I understand that you’re confounded and disappointed by your rejections and waitlists, but come on, you got into Williams and Georgetown SFS. The best liberal arts college in the country and one of the best universities for international-related endeavors are not anywhere the level of state schools – they’re far, far above them.

You’ve clearly given up trying to address my arguments. I can’t say that I blame you. Bye, bye…lil’ tiger.

princeton bc its ivy leauge

iambth, what areguments?

you do nothing but attack and complain about Princeton…

must be tough when you are a Princeton reject eh?

and especially for an Asian International student.

zzzzzzzz…

stanford, no doubt.

Wow. I don’t know what school iamtbh goes to, and I actually happen to like Princeton a lot… but JohnAdams12, why do you keep saying he is a night school/community college/asian??

He already stated he isn’t. Even if he was, why is this something to insult someone over? I know people who went to community college. I know plenty of international asians who were rejected from prestigious universities though they were clearly overqualified. If anything, you have done a better job of proving that Princetonians have a snotty attitude than iamtbh has.

Now that I got that out of the way, I will leave this thread. I am not joining this argument, so don’t bother replying :). Enjoy!

I would pick Penn, no doubt.
