I am curious. Pick one: Stanford, Princeton, MIT

MIT by a long shot

Stanford! great academics, athletics, atmosphere. what else could you want?

(I guess I’m a a little biased, but that hasn’t stopped some of the previous posters in this thread. good luck deciding and congratulations!)

Princeton has the most attractive guys, I hear.

Whatever school iambth goes to, he just spanked johnadams

Yeah, so much for the Princetonian education. John Adams just dug himself into a hole with those elitist comments about community college. The funny thing is that he doesn’t realize how many “Good Will Hunting” type students there are at state schools and community colleges. There are plenty of people at these schools that would spank any Princetonian in a debate, etc.

I am a janitor at MIT! :)

As much as i would want to vote for Stanford as it is in california, and I love California to death…, MIT is MIT. It is the ultimate school on earth if you want to major in engineering or science. So, I’d go with MIT.

judging from johnadams comments, i now see the arrogance that fills the atmosphere of over-rated Ivy League schools

^This is the problem with relying on posters.

Can anyone, himself included, prove that Johnadams is actually a student/alumnus of Princeton? No. Why you would:

1) Rely on his subjective testimony at all
2) Associate him with an entire university

is beyond me. If you are willing to do that, I hardly consider your approach impression-forming. Rather, I would think that you already had a feeling about Princeton that was then (erroneously) reinforced.

WOW. Way to throw a fellow Princetonian under the bus. I thought you Tigers had more loyalty than that. No, he is a Princetonian just as much as you are. It’s funny how you’re trying to dissociate yourself from him now. Because just yesterday, you were teaming up with him against me:

You seem no less a “haughty self” than he. Should we not presume you are a Princetonian either??

Your framing, not mine. We don’t even know when he graduated – it could have been 30 years ago. We don’t know his major, we don’t know his background, etc. So no, unless we know more I am not going to vouch for his reliability regarding Princeton now. The second point naturally goes unmentioned in your post, given that you know it’s accurate.

Hardly. The entire post was obviously a parody of the claims you leveled against Princeton. You can disagree, but ultimately that is your choice (and a subjective one).

You may presume whatever you want to. That doesn’t affect the accuracy of anything.

You are so a Princetonian! So is JA12…

I say that I am a Princetonian. What class is JA12? I can’t remember what he said he was…given that you accept him as a viable source, you obviously know something as basic as that – it would be intellectually problematic to point to someone as a voice of authority without knowing how dated the information is!

because…

I assume you’re done, or will this go on indefinitely?

Baelor, why continue the discussions with the International asian student that was rejected from Princeton and obviously will not stop in making negative comments about “Old Nassau” - even going as far as degrading the glorious Eating Clubs and the Princeton legacies?

way to go, sir!

all i have left to say is : Wow, somebody from an elite school just called a person that.

I think we should start investigating whether he’s actually from Princeton. I know my impression on Princetonians weren’t that bad.

to make things clear, why don’t JohnAdams12 just reveal all of us which class he graduated?

so tuangpi, if a student mentions that he is international and if a student posts evidence that he is asian, after he has denied being Indian, then we shouldn’t refer to him as an International Asian student?

am I missing something here?

In most places, an “International Asian Student” would be considered a positive comment…

Those are my three favorite universities in the US. If I had that choice, I would have a nervous breakdown! LOL!
