I am going to major in public health and get a certificate in spanish and japanese..

But the starting salary for it is so low, only 40,000 YEAR. I also want to be a translator/interpreter but they also make nothing. My brother majored in what he loved and now he is struggling to make ends meet, and he says he wishes he majored in something more useful. If I am interested in UN interpretation, WHO, epidemdiology, and overall just foreign languages (my true passion), what should I consider that is a major or career that is more stable. Public health is going to have many opportunities in the future, but I jsut feel like it is mediocore, that is watered down med school...is it? I love reading about aids and things too...I want to do peace corps, intern abroad, go to grad school abroad, and possibly live abroad. I am so interested in peace corps because it combines languagae and health, perfect for me, but is this realistic to live comfortably?...what jobs should I aim toward?

I will be a freshman at temple univ
