I am good at math but suck at english

Yes, I am great at math, I'm currently learning Algebra 2, but this year I will get to Calculus, with my slowest speed possible. And don't think I am lying, because I am definitely not.

But my problem is.. I am really, really HORRIBLE at reading comprehension and vocabularies... and not that bad, but still not good enough at writing...

But writing and reading are two quarters of SAT.... and yes, I don't read a lot, but I am trying to.. it's just hard for me.
What should I do? Math and science are not my problems, I love math and science.

But reading and writing really get in my way, I am going to go into high school that has IB programme next year, and I want to get prepared for it, because I didn't go to middle school that has IB program.

Do I just have to read a lot to improve my reading comprehension and my vocab, and also my writing???
If so, please tell me what kind of books I should read to get my reading and vocab skill up.

I really need help.. also, I am not a American-born kid, I am a foreigner, who came to America just a few years ago... I have no clue how to get started with English.

Read some books, i’d say read books you enjoy reading. You’ll probably memorize better if you like what you read. Try to vary the types of books you read. From fiction to historical etc… This will teach you different writing styles.

And otherwise do a lot of practice SAT tests, you will quickly see that the type of errors you have to identify or the changes you need to make in order to answer correctly follow certain patterns that come up all the time.
