How much can you afford to pay each year? That will determine whether or not you have any “safeties” here.

well, i can afford to pay aobut 35,000 dollars every year. do you think i have safeties with that much?

There are plenty of colleges and universities where your Cost of Attendance (COA) would be in that range. However, they might not be places that you are interested in attending. You need to think about your reasons for coming to the US. Is there a particular major that you want to study? You also should consider Canada, Australia, and the UK. Universities in those countries often are less expensive than in the US.

If you haven’t already done so, you should read through everything at [EducationUSA | Study Abroad, Student Visa, University Fairs, College Applications and Study in the U.S. / America](http://www.educationusa.info/) Then you should make an appointment with the counselors at the advising center closest to where you live. There are several in India [EducationUSA - Find an Advising Center](India | EducationUSA) Those counselors will be able to tell you where students like you have been admitted in recent years, and they can help you determine whether or not there are any safeties for you in the US.

You also might like to take your questions to the International Students Forum here at CC. There is a sub-forum for students in India where you should find lots of useful information.
