I have transferred to UC irvine from Temple University during the winter quarter and realized quickly -I dislike california. Now I want to go back to the east coast, but I dont want drop back down to a tier three university. My gpa at UCI is ~3.7 with 52 units and my gpa at Temple is ~3.1 with 60 credits. I changed my major from EE to Math and Comp lit after I got to UCI and I still have two more years left. Do you know of any schools that the same reputation that I would have a shot at?

there are plenty of schools. you really need to specify where on the east coast you want to go and if you still plan on studying math and comp lit. also, you have 112 credits? shouldn't you be graduating by now?

Nope, because I was originally EE, and about 1/4 of all the classes I took are worthless towards my new major. I prefer to be near the NY-PA-NJ areas.

Nah, not home sickness, I came from Temple, one of the most diverse schools in the US, Irvine isn't even remotely diverse...and I planned out my schedule, and if I stay at irvine, it will take me 2 years to finish.

i think temple is great, despite it's poor ranking. a lot of my friends go there and i wouldn't mind going there at all. but if you don't want to go back, i have 2 suggestions.

NJ: Rutgers- New Brunswick
PA: Villanova University

you should definitely get accepted into rutgers. as for villanova, it's not very diverse, but you'll be very close to philly. it's about a 20 minute drive.
