I took my first SATs without any preparation (just to see how I would do if I took the test cold) and got a 2130. I am now taking private lessons with an instructor who believes that I can get at least 100 points higher on my next try. I received 730 points for reading, 680 for math, and 720 for writing (my essay score was lower than I wanted it to be). Hopefully, I can improve in my math and writing sections for the next test in the spring.
