I always am wondering this. Why do people try to take like 12 APs. Are they trying to graduate early from college or what. What did you people do who took like 12 APs and passed them with w/e they needed to pass the class?
I was thinking of taking like 3 or 4 this year... but i really want to enjoy college. So probably only 1 or 2 :(.

There are some people (probably I myself was like that once) who see nothing else in life but AP. It's like an obsession, or a bad habit, call it whatever you want.........

I was one of the people who took 5 this past year. It was a load of work (plus I was directing a play), and I could have taken 8. Looking back, though, I could have taken the Microeconomics exam, which would mean that I wouldn't be taking it now.

I know that the reason why I took so many, and worked so hard to get the grades I needed to get for the credit, was partially because it looks so good on a transcript... that's important, but mainly because I really wanted to lighten up my college load.

I know that thanks to AP, I can graduate from Georgia Tech in three years with a dual minor and a semester studying abroad. All of this will fit right in with the time period each of my scholarships will cover me for. If it weren't for APs, I wouldn't get to do all of those things.

Hope that answered your question and didn't confuse you.

it saves TONS of money
mainly we're doing our parents a favor by not letting them pay $1000-$1500 per class or depending on where you go, especially private colleges
only paying $80-ish dollars for a test and the textbooks are free is a sweet deal
