I am looking for schools with Computer Science /Animation concentration.

I really want to become a technical artist/director. I am currently attending my local community college for an Associate degree in CS, but I am planning to transfer early. I have a good knowledge of programming, I did some before I went back to school. I also have a strong foundation in art. If you guys know any school offering a CS degree with animation/game concentration feel free to post in this thread. I prefer animation over game dev, but from my research they are pretty interchangeable.

Here are some of the schools that I applied to already:

Northeaster Computer Science /Media Arts
DePaul Computer Science /game dev
Drexel Computer Science /game dev
RIT Computer Science /game dev

Why not get a degree in animation? CS is more competitive, and you’ll get more of an animation background if you go into film with a concentration in animation.

My son is doing the 2 + 2 program. He is currently a sophomore at our local community college and recently got accepted for transfer at RIT for New Media Design program. He will start Fall 2020.

Because I am a CS major right now and a CS degree is worth more than an animation one. Basically to do what I want to do I must be good at programming, so I might as well get a CS degree.

CS degrees are not programming degrees. They are very similar to math degrees.
