Hm, I didn't know you could quit being vegetarian after being vegetarian for awhile without suffering severe stomach upset, but that's just what the other vegetarians have told me...

IK, why cant you just eat flaxseeds or nuts for the omega threes? thats what i do.

The problem is that the most important omega-3s are DHA and EPA oils, which are not naturally contained in flaxseed oils. Flaxseed oils only have ALA omega-3s, which don't have the touted health benefits of DHA and EPA. The body can convert some ALA into DHA, but the process is extremely inefficient (5-10%). Other plant sources barely have any DHA or EPA oils, if at all. Now there does exist algae that makes DHA oils. Scientists have finally made an algae that makes EPA oils (they're on the website above). unfortunately, the oils from the algae are extremely expensive and I'm still under the jurisdiction of my parents so I decided to just cave in not being vegetarian for only a few more years of my life.

I hope you are vegetarian for moral reasons and not health reasons.

I can point you to dozens of studies that show that vegetarianism carries just as many health problems as omnivorism (aka meat-eatingness).

i am a vegetarian almost entirely for environmental reasons. but i also feel that it is healthy. however, i agree with you, to a certain extent. if you stop eating meat, and dont replace it with enough protein and other nutrients, then that isnt good. but (land-based) meat is basically unhealthy. for this reason, i think that a typical vegetarian diet is more likely to be healthy than a typical traditional american diet. however, a balance between the two might be the most healthy, for example, a diet that includes fish and a little chicken, but also all the fresh fruits and vegetables. if i could stomach meat, i might eat like that. right now, i eat yogurt, milk, fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and some processed foods like frozen waffles and some candy. i think i eat a pretty healthy diet. probably better than most of my friends.

no, ive never eaten it. i refused to as a kid. i can barely look at it without feeling sick, let alone try to eat it. it just doesnt seem like food to me.

I have attempted to be vegetarian, but chickened out because it was two weeks before AP exams and I was scared of losing mental functioning from not eating a balanced diet. =/
