i am scared of my Gpa,

this term hasnt been my best, i have been accumulating c’s, c+ and - i know this might affect me but am i safe?

Safe from what?

I don’t understand the question. When you say “am I safe?” what exactly do you mean? Are you safe from being kicked out of the school or something like that? I’d imagine so. Is your GPA safe from being brought down by these grades? No…but that question shouldn’t even need to be asked.

i mean, am i failing or just okay but need to put inn more work?

I’m not sure what you’re asking for. No, you’re not failing. You got C’s. Should you put in more work? Probably.

What do you want to do after college? Think of it this way, most employers like to see a GPA above a 3.0. A C average puts you at a 2.0. You’re going to want to get as high grades as you can and try to have a GPA of at least a 3.0, if you can. And if you want to go to graduate school, you’re going to want it to be higher. It’s not the end of the world to have a GPA below a 3.0. Regardless of your GPA, you should be trying to get experience related to the field you want to work in so that you have more stuff on your resume, but with a low GPA, this may be even more important.

C’s aren’t failing - they’re passing. You won’t be put on academic probation or expelled but if you’re on any sort of merit scholarship, you need to check the GPA minimums. A lot of merit aid has GPA stipulations of a 3.0 or higher and a smattering of C’s could jeopardize it.

You should ideally be putting in more work - bar some really notoriously crazy classes like thermodynamics, you should be able to pull off at least a B in most of your courses by virtue of hard work and seeking out extra help when necessary.

A C is a passing grade, so you definitely aren’t failing. However, it would likely be a good idea to put in some more work. You want to get the highest GPA you can, and C’s are going to drag it down a good amount.

A lot of internships or employers recommend or require a cumulative GPA above 3.0/4.0, so you might want to put in some more effort.

Hey, C’s are good in engineering at my alma mater. More than good (C- is the lowest passing grade).

Not good for your GPA but okay if you can pull it up and have no desire at all to go to medical or law school in the future.
