Dear fellow internationals,
Before I start, I want to let anyone reading this know that I am not bragging in any way, shape, or form. This is a reflection of how nervous and scared I am. I am an international student, but have lived in the US for 6 years now. When I applied, I asked for an outrageous amount of financial aid from all my schools. I was admitted to the honors program at UNC Chapel Hill, but lately, things have taken a turn for the worse. In a matter of two weeks, I was waitlisted at WashU, and rejected by Rice and Johns Hopkins. Now, I have four schools left, all ivies: Harvard, Princeton, Dartmouth, and Brown. I am convinced that I was denied/waitlisted because I asked for so much financial aid, and I am really hoping that this will not be the case for the ivies (except Brown, the other three are need blind as you all probably know). I have zero problem with going to UNC honors, it's a top caliber school. But it's expensive and I did not get any aid. Please let me know what you guys think.
