I am a californian freshman of University of San Francisco but I want to transfer out to a good public and diverse university. My GPA is 3.5. I am taking accounting as my major. Is it better to go UCSB or to Texas A & M univeristy or some other east universities for accounting program? And wat are my chances? Or is there any recommendations of public universities? I am wondering is it harder to meet/know people when if I enter the UCs in a junior standing? Thank you in advance.

I'm pretty sure that UCSB doesn't have an accounting major, but don't quote me on that. I think the only UC with a really good B-school is Berkeley (Haas). Why A&M? These choices seem sort of scatter-shot.

UCSB has a Business Economics major with an optional emphasis in accounting.

Texas A&M is not exactly a diverse university. It's good for accounting though!
