I am so disappointed

mjs, i feel like the laziest person on earth after reading about your situation. you have inspired me to become a hard worker, and to help my parents with the financial burden i have brought upon them by attending an expensive private school.

working one semester is a good idea, too, if you can get a co-op with a good company.

So I am going to go to Duke. I have decided! I think that the money will all work out. I worked on an appeal, it helped a lot, and there are still some other issues, but I am going to make it work for me. It is official, I am going to be attending Duke universtiy in the fall. I will not be outrageously in debt, and I will work quite hard to make all the ends meet. Looking at the positive side, that will make me more independent and ready for what the world is truly like. I am so excited and content with this decision! Thanks all you guys for your help and input! My AIM is the same as this screen name: mjs4n6. Talk to me if you want to talk about Duke or whatever! And any other Duke people, dont hesitate to holla either. Again, thanks for all your concern and advice!

congratulations!!!!! GO DUKE :D

congratulations in making the decision to go for your dream school! I know you will work hard to earn it and perhaps your Duke diploma will help you solve the issue of funding your graduate school path...Many of us worked a decade to pay off college loans and it really can be done if you think it out and spread things out and get decent advice.

Have a Golden Freshman Year!

hear hear! That is certainly good news!

see ya there :D

I got 0 financial aid, how about you pay it off when you graduate and get a job.

mjs4N6 you will do fine in life.

mjs4n6: Have you thought about ROTC? Or joining the reserves?
Maybe do some serious web surfing for scholarship dollars, that go unused every year. Good Luck
