My life is literally spirling out of control.

On Wednesday, I found out my grade in AP Spanish was a B, which bothered me because I generally get As in Spanish. I later had to literally restrained tears and she talked to me about my grade and how I could improve. Today, I just found out I got a D on my English paper, which lowered my English grade to an 84, a B... This is a CP English class and I've gotten all As in english in more difficult classes, so I was literraly on the edge of tears... The teacher claimed I had no thesis... I apparently am also getting a B+ in AP european history and I'm unhappy as well (I expected an A-)

I'm just so stressed with these grades... I'm applying to top schools and I really don't want these grades to demolish all my chances. I'm going to try harder next term... It might have been due to the stress of college applications on top of all this work.

Aww it'll be better once the quarter comes. Things start to fall into place. I'm doing so bad right now but its going to be fine. Just get things done and enjoy what you can. Bring food to class, keep engaged and smile.

I think the first quarter has come, already jespere. Just take a deep breath and work harder second term. Most seniors have a drop in grades anyway.

The key to high school is realizing that your life isn't over if you don't get into Harvard. Research all the billionaires in this country and see how many of them had 4.0s with a perfect SAT. I'm guessing none of them did. You are rewarded if you work hard, not if you're perfect.

You need a time out. Don't come on CC for a while. Instead, spend your time working harder, and maybe check out some schools that aren't top. Maybe watch some TV, or go to the movies with some friends. Your life will be so much better if you realize that you are better than grades, test scores, and ECs.

Yeah... Even though my grades are dropping, I really don't think it is due to "senioritis", more like the stress of applying to colleges, schoolwork, clubs, expectations, etc...

Yes, the stress of college apps, work, sports, etc. can be crushing. Plus, though no one talks about it, there is that looming stress of leaving home. What if you hate your roommate? What if you hate the college you worked so hard to choose? What if what if what if???????

Go out and eat ice cream, then have a pizza, go see the Bee movie, and have a slumber party (or male equivalent). This too shall pass.

the male slumber party = bunch of bros playing xbox360 in the basement until someone falls asleep. then, the game becomes 'how badly can we ruin our best friend's face with sharpies and assorted vegetables'. every once in a while, amid the whoops and cries of 'pwnage' and 'you son of a mother's uncle', the host will go upstairs to deal with his irate parents.

"yea, so 2 pizzas and some chi--oh, didn't I tell you? they're staying all night, mom. i told you, remember? i said 'some of the guys are coming over' a few days ago! and make sure to remember the salsa, mom.'"
