It gets pretty cold...and Boston, being a city, can get really windy (those streets lined with tall buildings are like wind tunnels). I live about 2 hours north of there (although currently I'm at school in Illinois), and some winters it can get -20 w/ windchill...but that only happens once every couple of years. But definitely be prepared for snow, wind, and cold for at least 3 months of the year (although it can snow as early as October and as late as April). I've never had any problem with the cold weather (I grew up in NH), and in fact I love snow. It's all a matter of knowing how to bundle up.

I just got my Oct SAT scores. Depressing is one way of putting it. sigh'

Oct SAT scores:

Math: 630 (i am so mad at myself)
Writing: 650 (sigh')

I will be retaking it in Decemeber.

What are my chances with my new SAT score?

any other suggestions for schools?
