<p>Hope that title caught your attention :p I'm very unsure what my reaches, safeties, and matches are so please help!</p>

<p>Personal Info:
-Asian Indian (Born in US)
-Competitive HS (Newsweek ranked 70-90 *range for privacy)
- Rising senior
-Like to party/play sports but would like to think I'm fairly smart
-Prospective Major: Business/Marketing</p>

<p>10-12 UW GPA: 3.64 (3.75 with estimated 1st semester senior grades)
10-12 W GPA: 4.26 ( 4.32 ^^)</p>

<p>SAT:
-Took once with minimal studying 2070 (720 CR, 750 M, 600 W Essay 9)
-Very confident I can get this to 2200+ in october because I am proficient in grammar despite my score (trouble focusing on last section) and I lost essay points by not having a conclusion paragraph
-Will try ACT in September</p>

JV Football 2 years: player of the game twice, captain
Power Lifting freshman year
JV Soccer 1 year stupid dislocated shoulder
Varsity Football 2 years: maybe captain
Varsity Track 1 year</p>

<p>Other EC's:
-Eagle Scout ~200 hours of community service, Senior patrol leader, patrol leader 3x, led bahamas sailing expedition, went on 60 mile backpacking trip
~20 hours of community service from various school things etc.
-Marketing Officer for an organization a friend created, has to do with oil recycling
- Interned for 2 summers in the management sector of a small dallas based food chain</p>

<p>Letters of Rec:
-APUSH teacher loved me but some people do say she is very generic in her letters, then again the letters arent visible so how would they know :/
-working on science/math letter, not so sure about this one I missed an opportunity to get a good one from a chem teacher that liked me so this one may be average too from soph year chem H or trig teacher</p>

<p>All schools are either matches or safeties especially with a 2200 except Carnegie Mellon, upenn and Cornell. One or two other schools might be reaches but I think your a strong applicant. And wow your title is amazing. Pm me a chance back if you wish</p>

<p>I have a question? Mine is pretty average but I have over 2000+ volunteer hours overseas as well as sponsoring a few orphans. I’m also 26 and a veteran. I’ve been to a few schools already and been living overseas for 2 years now.</p>

<p>GPA, Test Scores were average but I didn’t get active in my school for sports and clubs.</p>

<p>I have a black belt in 3 styles and I’ve been to US nationals a few times. </p>

<p>What school would take me?</p>

<p>I’m also adopted from Korea and my income is extremely low as well as my family’s. They all have doctorates though.</p>

<p>With your current SAT score UCLA, UTAUSTIN, Santa Clara, and maybe UVA are the only ones that arent reaches. get above a 2200 and most of these will be matches. good luck!</p>

<p>Appreciate the insight guys, and this is why I’m shooting for that 2200. Few things to note, USC loves my school for some reason, lots of students get in with worse stats than me. Also how would your recommendations change if I got a 34 on the act and didnt bother retaking the sat?</p>

<p>Do well on the ACT! Thats my advice lol, i screwed up on the SAT but the ACT sometimes is better for people. I would say stern is a high match for you, because they will take your AP scores. Honestly the only thing you are lacking is standardized test scores</p>

<p>I know man I seriously hate collegeboard, in my opinion it’s purely a business that profits on a market that they themselves manipulate with stupid testing etc., but you know what they say: fear sells. Anyways, if I do well on my ACT (34+) but still want to send my sat subject tests, what will colleges think about my 2070 sat score?</p>
