I am thinking about applying to PRATT as an illustration major, but I am not sure.

I am currently a senior in a creative arts high school. I have been researching my best options for colleges that will provide me a good illustration program. I came across PRATT which was much cheaper than the other art colleges I was looking into and had a better rating. Although, after reading the student reviews I am not so sure. Can anyone give me some insight on the illustration program they offer? Why or why wouldn't this school be a good place to attend? Any other alternative school you would recommend for illustration studies?

@ToraDora did you decide to apply to Pratt? My D was accepted into ComD program (concentration is graphic design). Illustration is also part of ComD and I think Pratt might be the only nationally recognized school of art & design to include illustration as part of a design program (as opposed to fine arts). Anyway, it would be great to get your perspective and hear what you have learned about illustration and communications design at Pratt. If she chooses Pratt my D would be required to take at least one illustration studio as part of the ComD major which I think would be very good for her.
