I am transferring schools in a week...any advice?

I am a junior in high school and I am going to be attending a brand new school in a week. I had to transfer due to transportation issues (my current school is an hour away) to a closer private school. I have never been the "new girl" before and I am really nervous. Do you have any advice as to how I can make my transition easier?

Smile! And be really friendly. SMILE.

^Yea. At first people will be interested in you because you’re new. Then it’ll fade, so find your friends fast. Be friendly, smile, and don’t be reclusive.

I was a “new girl” for 2 weeks (then I moved back. haha). It was freshman year though so everyone was finding their friends. Junior year might be a little harder since people have already formed their “cliques”. So don’t be afraid to take the initiative and make friends yourself.

get to know everyone… not just the first people who say hi. they might not be the type of people you’ll want to be friends with in the long run.

I was the new girl this year (as a freshman), and I knew some people from lacrosse earlier, but I met lots of people until I found my “group”.

have fun, smile, be outgoing, and be yourself =)

You should join clubs. You’ll be enabled to meet people who possess similar interests as you, something that could serve as a way to ensure that your transition is simplistic, while also allowing you to make new friends.

watch mean girls

Thanks :)

And oh yes, I will be sure to watch Mean Girls again.
