I am very upset!!

Uconn is my number one top choice for school. I applied early action for Storrs and got accepted into the Waterbury campus. I called them and they said that I am NOT on any waitlist for Storrs and to get into Storrs I must go to the Waterbury campus for 2 years!'- something I will not do because I want to stay in a dorm. I sent the admissions office an email telling them about my sepcific interest in the Storrs campus, but didn't get a response back.

Do you think it would be appropriate to write them telling them about my specific interest in the Storrs campus for fall 2011 ? If so, what should I include that may spark there interest?

Unless something drastic changes about your application for the better, such as a drastic SAT score increase, their decision will not change.

same thing happend to me. it sucks! I wish they didn’t take SATs so seriously because realistically they are a horrible way of asssesing a person on thier abilities.

For your first semester at Stamford just retake the SAT’s and get a good GPA and you can even transfer second semester.

Have you looked at Quinnipiac? It’s a just as nice school, in CT, but is a little less competitive that UConn.

Well Quinnipiac is kind of expensive and I don’t want to live at home. This is why I really wanted to get into the Storrs campus at Uconn.

@Eurosport360- Is it really possible to transfer after just one semester? What if they don’t have any dorms available ?

@ThePhilosopher- What else besides SAT scores need to change drastically?
