Hello everyone,
I am new to this forum and I don't know if I am posting this thread in the correct section.
My concern is that I don't know how many fee waivers I have to report my scores to colleges. I have taken the SAT for the third time now, same as the ACT I have taken it for the third time now and my concern is I heard something about sending your scores withing 9 days but I am not sure if its 9 days after registration or 9 days after taking the test or 9 days after scores are available. I am very worried about that. I have the same question about ACT.
I will highly appreciate if someone helps me out.
Thank you.

With each SAT or ACT, any applicant gets to send the score to four colleges for no extra cost (free sends). You have to provide that list of four as part of your application file and you must provide it by no later than 9 days after the test for the SAT, 5 days for the ACT, or you will lose any free sends. If you instead wait until after you get the score to order the score sent to a college, you have to pay a fee to send it. For example if you took the Dec 3 SAT, you had until Dec 12 to list those four colleges; if you did not do it your free sends are forfeited and you have to wait for the score to be released to order it sent for a fee per college. If you took the ACT Dec 10, your last day to change your list is today.

For those who cannot afford the cost of a test, there is a separate fee waiver you can get that waives the fee for taking the test and gives you four more free sends for the SAT (I don’t know off hand how many with the ACT).
