I am wondering..

Can someone do a major in physics or economics at Columbia College plus a concentration in engineering mechanics at Fu (in 4 years) since according to the website students at Fu can minor in Econ from CC..

No.

But there is:

Economics + Industrial Engineering Operations Research Major
Computer Science major (in the college)

OR.

Do the 5 year BA/BS major (get 2 degrees), but as I'm sure you know, College doesnt offer minors which is why you cant get a minor from Fu.

the website said Fu students can get a liberal arts minor in econ, history...

<a href="http://www.studentaffairs.columbia.edu/admissions/engineering/areas.php%5B/url%5D">http://www.studentaffairs.columbia.edu/admissions/engineering/areas.php</a></p>

i was just pointing to the site because truazn8948532 said Fu students cannot minor in econ, history.. the site doesn't say whether someone could do it the other way round and so i started this thread to ask you guys..

he meant that you cant get a minor from fu while in the college, not that you cant minor because you are in seas

sorry sorry.. i misread big time.. so sorry..
