I applied to the University of Rochester early decision and was oblivious to the CSS Profile until today when I scrolled down the ROC account website and saw the little reminder about it. So I'm having my father complete it immediately, but the deadline was December 1st. I haven't received an acceptance or rejection yet because the school doesn't send notifications out until December 15th. What exactly am I suppose to do after I fill out my profile? Am I suppose to call the financial aid office and ask for some sort of deadline extension?

Call them on Monday and tell them what is happening. I would advise that you get the Profile done this weekend.

What’s their policy regarding fin aid? I know on my schools page, they list all over that if you don’t complete the financial aid component before you are accepted, then you must complete 64 credits at the school before you are eligible for any financial aid.
If I were you, I’d get the profile immediately filled out, and call the financial aid office if no policy is given on the website, and send them an email if the policy is.

I completed the profile and handed it in today, I plan on calling them tomorrow.
HOPEFULLY, there isn’t such a policy at Rochester.

Go read the website thoroughly, too! Every college has different deadlines for financial aid, some have additional scholarships that have requirements (with due dates)…
