<p>I did not get into my top choice, and I decided to appeal. I am pretty sure that they won’t chance their mind. Can I submit my SIR to UC Davis ( i was admitted there) ?
What if I submit my SIR to UCD and get accepted to the other college through appeal? It probably won’t happen but I want to know if you can change your mind after you submit your SIR.</p>
<p>You are encouraged to SIR with another campus if you are on a waitlist or waiting for appeal. If you are pulled off the waitlist or admitted on appeal, you can decide where you want to attend and withdraw the SIR from the campus you are no longer interested in enrolling.</p>
<p>yea, the only catch is that you lose your 100 dollars, but in the grand scheme of things, it’s not a big loss</p>
<p>yup i did that for UCB and then changed to UCLA when i got in thru appeal.</p>

<p>Remember, telling the admissions office they made a huge mistake is not going to help you. For your appeal to be considered, you must prove that you are a much stronger candidate than what was presented in your application. Specifically, you must present new and compelling information that was not previously available to the admissions office. So if you failed to include information regarding extraordinary hardship or exceptional academic achievement on your application, you can discuss these things on your appeal as reasons for the UCs to reconsider you.</p>
<p>The focus of your appeal should be why you are an excellent candidate for the UCs, not why your hardship is horrible or why you have to get into the UCs. Your objective is to explain why the UCs should be interested in you, not how much you love the UCs. State your case concisely (one page appeal is ideal and two pages are acceptable) and don’t exaggerate or try to be dramatic. Keep in mind that the decision reversal rate is less than 3% at Berkeley and UCLA, and under 10% at most other UC campuses.</p>
