I applied to George Mason.

I did the early action the day before deadline..
so, the deadline for college to tell us is ..15th Dec..
its 8th now.. -_``` still nothing...getting nervous..

i applied to early action too. i’m hoping we’ll hear something by next monday at the latest, even though it’ll only be the 13th.

btw, are the decisions going to be posted online ? or mailed to us ?

Last year I got it in the mail before I saw it online. Actually, I don’t even remember ever seeing decisions posted online for Mason.

Is it December 15th? I thought it wasn’t until December 21-22? Either way, it would be awesome to find out this Wednesday…Mason is just my safety though but I’m dying for an acceptance. :(

Today, my D got Acceptance letter. Received Admission package in mail but online status is not changed yet.

I got my acceptance today. It’s my first one so I’m really happy. Probably not going to attend Mason though because it’s just my safety.

how did you find out? i also applied to mason and am waiting to hear about whether i got into the honors college.

I got a huge packet in the mail.

congrats to everyone who got in ! i’m still awaiting my package…

yay, got in today! anyone know when we are supposed to hear back about scholarships/honors?

I got accepted today! I’m also waiting for honors decisions, though. I remember reading somewhere that they send out letters for honors acceptances about a week from now, but I can’t remember if that was from a reliable source.

okay, this is a bit frustrating lol, i have yet to receive anything in the mail from gmu and my app was sent on october 25 …

to the those who’ve been accepted, are you located in fairfax/northern va ? i’m in spotsylvania so maybe the people who live closer in are getting their packages quicker.

I’m from Colorado…a lot of times colleges will stagger sending out letters so that everyone get them around the same time, so it could be that you were one of the last to get sent out.

i received my letter in the mail today… waitlisted :frowning:
while i know that i could’ve been denied, i’m still upset about it.

Does Mason not defer?

i think they do, but i’m not completely sure.

if i decided to be put on the waitlist, i wouldn’t have a final decision until june…so it’s like those who are waitlisted are pushed behind those who apply for regular decision.

^I don’t know if you can, but see if you can get deferred rather than put on a wait list. A friend of mine applied early to Mason and got wait listed, and he already had paid the deposit for another school by the time decisions came back.

got my acceptance today!

Got my acceptance letter off of the kitchen table yesterday, though I don’t exactly know when it came in the mail. My parents got the mail a few days ago and put the letter at the bottom of the stack on the kitchen table apparently, and I called the admissions office yesterday who said they mailed mine on the 10th. I was getting worried until I found out it was sitting on the table for who knows how long…haha. Oh and I also applied for the Honor’s College so lets all get in there!

@Splonk, i may call the admissions office just to see where i rank on the list. i wasn’t too set on going to mason in the first place, but it may be worth it to call. thanks.
