I got the letter in the mail today…wait listed pretty upset about it. Deffinitely thought I could get in. It was tied with first choice school, and I dont think ill get into my other first choice school, dont know what to do…

I just got mail that I have been selected to participate in GMU’s Cornerstones Program. Anyone know what that is?

I got my letter today but I didn’t apply early action. I live in Prince William btw.

@lauren14, i was waitlisted too. gmu wasn’t my first choice, but how many other schools are you applying too if you’re worried that you won’t get into you’re other first choice ?

I applied to 8 schools. Virginia Tech was my number 1, applied early decision and got deferred. Now got waitlisted to Gmu. Don’t know what to do because all the other schools I applied to are reaches and or safetys which I didnt really plan on going to. I am almost considering applying to a few more places…

i was kind of in the same situation you’re in. old dominion was my safety and i didn’t plan to go there at all, but now it’s becoming my number 1 choice since i’m pretty sure that i’ll get deferred from jmu early action since i was waitlisted at mason.

if you already applied to 8, and you’re pretty confident with your safeties, you may want to consider attending one of them.

I sent in my app on the fifteenth of november, but I still haven’t heard anything back yet.
D:

Do you guys think I have a chance at the Honors College? I’ve got a GPA of 3.7, and an SAT score of 1300 (730 reading, 570 math)

if you applied after the early action deadline (november 1), then i don’t think you’ll hear anything back until april, maybe.

Oh, thanks! I thought before Dec. 1st was early action. I feel better now, though I really wish I didn’t have to wait til April. :P

My sister applied RD but for the scholarship deadline two years ago. She received her admittance letter, Honors college letter, and scholarship letter all in January. So if you applied for scholarships/Honors college, then I think you will here back this month.

Got wait listed with a 3.65 gpa :/

I can’t believe you got wait listed with a 3.65. Did you go score optional? If not, did you have decent SAT scores?

That is pretty shocking. When’d you apply?

I applied RD in November… and I got my letter around the same time the EA people got them. A few days later, the honor’s college acceptance came in. My SAT scores weren’t that exciting, but I filled in every optional part of the application.

I got my acceptance letter today for regular

@xReinax: What was your GPA and your sat score? I’ve got a 3.7 and a 1300, yet I’ve yet to here back about the Honors College.

I received my accepted to the Honors program about 2 weeks after receiving my GMU acceptance letter, so maybe around the second week of January.

1400 (700 M. / 700Cr.) SAT
Around 3.65 [give or take .1] GPA (My school weighs GPA’s, so I’m not entirely sure)

Keep waiting angel! I’m sure you’ll get in! Some people have apparently gotten scholarships, while others are still waiting on acceptance letters, so I’m guessing there’s no set order of when everyone will receive any specific thing.

@Vaangel
I had an 1820 total after taking it three times (the reading math one was 1230…) and a GPA of 4.2 or 4.0 unweighted.

You’ll get in no problem. Honestly, I’m surprised at the wait-list line of people especially with such high gpas!

haha NOW i’m the nervous one! a lot of you said you got it the day before the expected mail-out date! you think it’ll repeat this year? So nervous! because Tech i applied ED and Mason i applied EA. (: Was it a manilla envelope? some people said huge packet, some said small envelope. please let me know!(:

i got a big white envelope today with my acceptance letter. Good luck rajtheindian!!
