Fin Aid

Location

Name/ Prestige

10 Days!!!!

because i could.

i mean why not? if you have as good a shot as anyone else and you know you'd be happy going there then you might as well throw your name in the hat and just see what happens. but never would have if i didn't like the school and the atmosphere because how it fits me (or you) is what matters most

Because I'm a double legacy...and it isn't even my first choice.

geez, how much u people succumb to the "prestige" nonsense!

I applied to Harvard mainly because of their History and Literature major and Neurobiology major/minor. No other school has the historic Hist and Lit major, which would satisfy my hunger for interdisciplinary studies. I really REALLY, if accepted to Harvard, want to do this major. Through it I could combine my love for history, govt, Spanish culture, and more! Also, Harvard is one of the few schools I applied to with its own Neurobiology major. Most schools make you take general biology + a concentration in neuroscience, microbiology, or whatever it may be...so basically it would be more like a minor. But Harvard has Neurobio as a major and minor, so if i ended up doing some non-science major, I could still minor in neurobio. Also, Harvard seems to offer so many things I want to study and I could actually do so! I love the fact that if I go to H, I could do so much!! The activities all seem so awesome, and I love the fact that H is located near Boston which contain a lot of schools where I could tutor kids.
I'm not so worried about the connections, but hey, that's good too!

^ Hey you sound like me!! Haha, hist+lit sounded cool and so did gov. and neurosci

i second on the history and lit major! The freshman seminars also cover a lot of interesting subjects.

So at least, if nothing else I could say I got rejected from Harvard! Ha Ha!

Great Science Program and Department (BROAD Institute)

Like the city of Boston

Excellent Financial Aid

Asian - parents making me lol

...because it's close to MIT (cross-registration of course)
plus I love to write that supplement essay

I applied to Harvard because I didn't apply.

i will apply to Harvard because of

-Harvard Econ
-presitge/networking
-proximity to MIT for cross registration
- location

Math department.

Because i wanted to solidify my status as an loser.

^^ lol @ above post

Research in Medicine and mathematics is phenomenal...
They stole many of the great minds and made them teach the undergrads... by stole i mean bought with large amounts of money...
They have lots of money to spend on things like "Folklore major" and probably the most craziest major of all "Sanskrit" (i lol'ed so hard at that when i saw they offered that as a major... yay for original indian language)
Best FA ever
More hookups in research for undergrads
The name on the resume so when i apply for residency, amongst the 1000 of applicant resumes, they'll see harvard and read mine first (lol... that goes for any school top notch school i guess... but technically this could be true)
Cross Registration with MIT
I can finally say my blood colour isnt red or white, it's crimson (i donno if i can use the word crimson as a colour... i dont know if u write/say it like "crimson" or "crimson red")
Their stem-cell research is off the hook.
They give you money+networking contacts.
Even if you graduate as the lowest ranked student in terms of gpa in your graduating class, you're still probably going to get some first rate jobs.

because its effing HARVARD

haha
jk

but not really

seriously? that would be such an amazing experience - just think how much you would learn there, being surrounded by all that culture and diversity, and all those crazy intelligent people. you would emerge a completely different person after four years there. it would open so many doors and you have so many choices there as well. like what people were saying, all those interdisciplinary majors, and unique courses, and research opportunities...you can do anything you want there

plus...why not? the supplement wasnt that difficult, so why wouldn't you apply to harvard? it would soooo be worth it if you got in...i mean...wow :O again, its HARVARD for crying out loud
and if you dont get in - so what? i think id be okay. i mean, no one else gets in anyways, so whatevs, at least you gave it a shot!
true it is an extra 60-70 dollars, but college is so expensive anyways that it doesnt really make that much of a difference in the grand scheme of things...

haha and lookbeyond - ive never tried the bubble tea in cambridge, but i know that it is the most amazing drink/food on the planet, so you totally added to my wanting to go to harvard

:)

I applied to Harvard because Boston girls get around like the mailman before the holidays.

( I do NOT mean to degrade women. Honestly!)

^^ LOL hahaha, he is looking for a nympho people.

^ Not really, but I am trying to inject humor into my posting, salacious as it sometimes is.

^^so was i lmao. hence the "LOL hahahaha" and playing around with your salacious as it seems, injected sense of humor in your previous post lol :P
