I bet this is the first time you've heard of this. . .

Do you guys think it's okay if a different counselor fills out my Midyear Report. The Midyear Report includes a recommendation as well, so a different counselor would also give a different perspective.

well i mean how many counselors does ur school have?

im guessin its ok as long as hes ur schools counselor. but i mean it might raise a flag since they always sign their name at the bottom.

You lose. Counselors change all the time (for personal or medical or other reasons) -- not a big deal.

Yeah, this happens all the time. Mine changed three times from end of junior year to end of senior year. I was worried that the counselor - who had never met me - would just send out some generic report, so every time there was a change I would make an appointment to go in with my resume, personal statement and teacher recommendations to "help" them out. I suggest you do the same.

@bluebayou: darn. . . I thought I was unique.

Does the counselor for the MYR fill out a recommendation like the one on the SSR

Counselors can change due to the mix of students as well. At our HS, students are assigned alphabetically by last name, so if the letters weightings shift, the counselor may as well. Being high in the A part of the alphabet, my S has thus far had the same GC through his jr year thus far.

You keep bumping this, but it seems your question was answered. Did you have another question?
