<p>Okay, so I need to get in to Amherst College early decision.</p>

<p>I'm retaking the ACT and SAT (plus the subject tests), all before the November deadline.</p>

<p>I'm getting the required rec from my guidance counselor, one from my AP English teacher (a PhD), and a supplemental one from my class advisor and old English teacher (an Amherst alum).</p>

<p>My essays should be pretty good.</p>

<p>Do I have a chance early decision?</p>

<p>White female
Public school (about 45 minutes from Amherst)

<p>I took 2 AP classes last year, 4 this year (the most rigorous course load that my school offers...it's not a prep school or anything).</p>

<p>ANY ADVICE WOULD BE APPRECIATED! I would give anything to go to Amherst College.</p>

<p>It is hard to give chances without having thinks like:Gpa, rank, and scores.</p>

<p>Sorry...this is in the original post, but it doesn't really stand out. I made a profile on MyChances.net so hopefully it's more organized to read.</p>

<p>Class Rank: 1 out of about 300
GPA: 102.02 (weighted, out of 100)
I got a 30 on my ACT, but I just re-took it yesterday!</p>

<p>Ok, I dont know much about Amherst...so I looked it up on College Board and it says their ACT is between 29-34.
So IMO with your Valedictorian stat and GPA and ACT.....</p>

<p>What's your most important EC? Do you have any specific things you see as strengths besides that.</p>

<p>That's all irrelevant though, with good essays, you should be in safely. Especially if you increase your test scores.</p>
