I have a very high GPA, good ECs and studied for the LSAT for forever so I could take it now, in February, and, I hoped, to get a 170+. I planned on applying early next semester at the beginning of the application cycle (October) because I would have finished my applications over the summer. On practice tests, I scored in the high 160s and two or so times in the low 170s. Everything was going well and by the last section, I thought I did well enough that dominating the final section would probably give me a 170+. Then, I started thinking too much and got that what-if-I-bomb-the-last-section-and-everything-is-ruined feeling. Then, I flipped over the page and... imagine if you were in one of those machines that blow around money and that your life depended on catching every dollar but you only had 35 seconds... yea, that's what I was doing during the last section. My focus was off and I feel like I didn't do too well on that section - probably missed like 6. I know I probably missed 3 to like 5 on the games. The only thing I felt good about was the LR. Assuming I missed 5 on games, 6 on LR and 5 on Reading, that's 16 wrong answers! If the curve is 9 or 10, I probably got a 164 at best.

Wouldn't it be awesome if they gave extra credit for the essay portion??
