Yes, amplitude is like displacement, its the absolute value. So 5 is the correct answer.

5 is correct.

For some reason I thought this test was alright; easier than the one I took in June. I skipped 8 and guessed on 3 or so, so I'm hoping for at least a 720. I can only hope, haha.

the log question -- i think "n" was the answer.

Waken I got n for that one
i actually liked that question :)
i put -5 for amplitude because i'm a complete idiot

I'll be ecstatic with a 720!

for the log question i got n...

did anyone get the question with the bees expanding to 100,000 sq ft?
i think my answer was 657 or something...

Waken66, I think I got that one right but just can't make it now out of what you've written and don't remember how exactly the question went. I think, though, that the answer was the thing that y was supposed to become after the exponential multiplication (that is the X term in logyX = t, as the question was asking for x^st = and x^s equaled y and y^t equaled something so in the end x^st = the something. I know it's all messy but I tried to translate math into human language:)

yeah, the something was n I'd say now I see it. So the qustion was: logxy=s logyn=t what is the value of x^st. that's it, right, guys?

Thanks brankocerny, I got it from your explaination, I just saw that question and knew it would take to long to do it, I haven't done logs in ages.

Melli.

The question asked how much time did it take for the bees to go from 1 sq.ft to 100,000 sq ft. It also said that the double every day. I used the Exp. growth equation.

100,000=1(2.00)^t

i think t=16.01 or something.

yep. it's n.

i think the bee one was like 16.something?

yeah, the bees were the last one (16.a bit). pretty easy, too, just kept multiplying by 2 on the calc:)

I thought the answer to that one was n.

What were the other choices for the bee one? i think i put 16.01 but i don't really remember, it was towards the beginning of the test which seems like ages ago

I felt that test was ridiculous... I left eight blank and rushed two. I had ten problems to do in the last five minutes. When I took the practice test from College Board I finished almost twenty minutes early and got every question right! That was yesterday... I decided I should slow down and check over my answers today (ha).

yea nvm for the bee problem 657 was definitely not one of the answers...
did anyone get the question w/ the charity donating $100 every year...

matterrr you'll feel better once i've told you that i skipped 12 and didn't get everything else right (double ha)
:P
i had no idea for the charity one, meili i think i skipped it ><

charity one, i believe i put the choice with 500 something
