I got a 24 in science, but my composite was 29 (everything else was 30 or over) and I'm doing political science, so nothing to do with science. Is this going to hurt me getting into schools?

SOME schools don’t even look at or care about science. That’s all I can tell you though. I had the same, my first ACTs, I got 29 in all sections and a 24 in science (which surprised me, because I seriously bubbled in random circles). This time I got a 26 (and I actually tried)!!!

Why did I do so bad in science? Everything was off the charts!

@OP Depends on the schools you want to go to. Some schools only look at specific sections and ignore others, and seeing as how you want to go for political science, chances are they won’t place much weight on science as opposed to going for biology or chemistry majors. But, you can certainly work to improve on the science section, get a higher composite, and be a better candidate for a school.

same here :(

for the dreaded composite 33.25

I plan on taking it again though. I didn’t do any prep and was a bit surprised by the format of the science section, resulting in complete guessing on the last problem set.

i really didn’t like the science. It just tested your ability to read graphs, not your knowledge of science. And I didn’t have enough time to finish :(. My scores:
