congrats!!! now the good thing is you can compare your Financial aid packages with all your schools and right when they release the decisions you can SIR right then and there :)

What document exactly did the financial aid office request of you guys?

I am trying to figure out if it’s a document one would normally submit o ly if one is going to attend the school. Or if I too may have forgotten thisndocument and I should be expecting an email.

:D Tia!

It depends on the person, it’s not just one specific document.

I reported that I have a brother who is in college, and they need proof of that. Also, fafsa couldn’t verify that I am a citizen (which I am), so I need to provide proof of that.

Is there ANY way that I can see how much they are offering me for financial aid, yet they DON’T accept me?

I don’t want to get too excited only to be let down on friday

I really really doubt it! Like others have commented and myself, I don’t see why FA would waste their time doing all of this when you’re not getting accepted!

*cries. I didn’t get one! i feel so much frustration lol.
but congrats : D sounds exciting for youu!

The email is a simple audit that they do , and I’m pretty sure most other universities do it too.

Usually what they ask for is copies of the recent tax return , w2, and citizenship verification.

I don’t think this is a bad sign for people who didn’t get the email, only that it’s a good sign for those who did.

All my financial documents are in order, so I wouldn’t get this email even if I got accepted and I have no CalNetID so I can’t check any way.

If only they had a “register your CalNetID” using your application ID web page somewhere.

I received the email, too. This email makes the wait a little more bearable. I just hope it isn’t giving me false hopes :(!

OK…go to your Berkeley App
Make sure you are logged out
Down at the bottom click on “login w/Calnet ID”
USE YOUR APP # as your NetID and then your password from your UCB app as your ‘passphrase’
Then…hit enter…the pop-up says "you are now required to choose a self-selected CALNET ID before continuing, click ok to login to the “change CALNET ID app.”…I got the pop-up, does anybody else?
p.s. if you put the wrong id you won’t get the popup if you put the wrong password you will get the pop-up…try putting all the correct stuff in and see what happens…I am still not able to create one but it is exciting that we can get this far!!!

Yeah, I got the popup, too. Cool.

i got the popup…

Is there anyone who does not get the popup?

yeah anyone? i got the pop up but i am fairly certain this doesnt mean anything.
edit: anyone have a Calnet id? Is there any correlation to your PIN # and your app id? last 4 digits perhaps?

dont get a popup not sure if im in the right place it says Calnet ID not Net ID?

Sounds like you’re doing it correctly. Anyone else? This experiment needs more subjects.

I get the popup… “You are now required to choose a self-selected CalNet ID before continuing. Click OK to log into the Change CalNet ID application.”

I got the popup when I entered my application ID… And I already have a CalNet ID…

I think the system is just looking over the credentials and seeing if the entered ID is a 7-digit number then seeing if it matches an applicant.

OKay I get it as well, this is not true at all!

i don’t think the popup really means anything…i typed in a random number for the calnet id and a random password and i still got the popup
