The more tired I am, the less I'm able to sleep. It's a vicious cycle. tears I want sleep! What shall I do?

try counting......

or try to remember everything you did that day

drink milk (seriously, this helps), read a book, that'll tire your eyes out

The thing is, I'm always thinking before I fall asleep. It's like my subconscious is thinking and I'm not fully aware of it. It's like a half sleep, and it isn't sufficient! lol

I'll try milk.

something that helps is to think about the same thing each night....

me, I imagine I won 15million dollars, and how I would spend it, boom, I am asleep

it takes you off of thinking about school etc..

can you ask your doctor if you have a diagnosable sleep disorder? I have a relative with this, and he had some kind of sleep study done on himself at a clinic, diagnosing Sleep Apnea. They gave him an oxygen breathing machine that helps him every night. Says he couldn't live without it (literally)

don't have caffiene after 4pm, make sure your bed is comfortable and neat, clean your room, have an evening ritual, read something light and silly, turn down lights early, and ease into bedtime

dont do things on your bed that dont relate to sleeping. like dont do homework or anything in bed because then you associate your bed with work, not sleep.

Get two hours of sleep a night for a while. After that, you'll jump at any chance to sleep you get.

I'm serious.

I think about nothing -- if that's possible. Like, I just try to imagine darkness. Now that I type it out, it seems totally emo, but it works for me. Also, try imagining watching yourself sleep. That works for me too.

try listening to music

I have the same problem. Listening to music usually helps, though.

Yup, I found songs that make me feel happy and sleepy, and now I listen to them if I can't go to sleep =)

Ironic moment: I'm listening to a song called Can't Ever Sleep now. This happens to me so much. I think that my iTunes is psychically connected to CC =)

I know what fizix is talking about; I just experiencing a beastly two-week period, during which I slept an average of four hours a night (including week-ends !!!) My friends and I were just wondering if it's sad if going to sleep is our favorite part of the day.... hmmm.

Heat up milk and drink

Get some nicer pillows

Tire yourself out during the day

DONT go to sleep unless you want to!

The last one is kind of by me...I always want to sleep. Hehe

try aromatherapy
