I would have to say that USC and Davis are my top two choices. I did not particularly like UC San Diego due to the lack of a college town and less active social scene. Santa Barbara's party scene was a bit much for me, but I could get used to it. I will be majoring in Business if i go to USC, and possibly Managerial Economics if I attend Davis. Cost is another factor as USC costs twice that of the UC's. Do you think going to USC is worth the extra cost? What opinions do you have? Any input is appreciated!! Thanks.

Why not write on a piece of paper all the pros & cons of each of the schools you're considering, including the out-of-pocket cost, majors, environment of school, dorm/Greek life, internship/job opportunities, etc. Have you done an overnight at each school? What are you planning to study? Have you spoken with the faculty & advisors in those departments/schools?

How will you fund the difference in cost between USC & the UC schools? One thing to consider is how long it will take to actually graduate from each school with the degree you're chosing. USC has many of its students graduate in 4 years while I believe many students at UCs take longer than 4 years to graduate, which increases the total cost of attendance as well. Do you plan to go to graduate school? That may also affect how much you're willing to pay for your undergrad degree.

Average class size between USC & the UCs also differs a lot, from what I've read.

My niece was very happy at UCDavis, where she double-majored in English & Business & is now graduating from law school. My son will be matriculating at USC this fall in engineering.

I would pick UC Davis if money's going to be factor...and if you're planning to attend grad school afterwards, it's best that you save up for that...

it really does depend on your plans after undergrad. if you want to immediately start working usc would be the best option, because they basically run so cal with it's trojan network.

but if you plan to pursue a master or go in into grad school immediately following undergrad than go to ucd. i personalyl would have picked ucsb because at the very least it's not located in the middle of nowhere and even so there's stilla social life on campus.

Keep in mind that USC lost the Rose bowl this year.
But seriously, if money is not an issue, USC has the best overall academic ranking of those schools and my friends who go their could not be happier with their experience
