Billhpike: I second that. It's so much nicer to think about the college possibilities and finger through your large file of accomplishments than it is to study the night before for a big test that you'll probably get an A on anyway despite the complete lack of sleep.

I'm also good enough to play in university. I find it frustrating that there aren't many people able to give advice on this site.

On the other hand, this site is making me increasingly more and more obsessed to college admissions. And seeing how my stats compare to some other's is scary....but I guess CC users are the mostly the cream of the crop of admissions, so maybe I shouldn't worry too much.

Then, stop worrying. I bet there are many students who are smarter or more qualified than those who post on CC. But you can't do anything about that so stop worrying. If you can't stop worrying then...it's your choice whether or not to continue reading CC.

CC is great for getting perspectives on different schools, and, to some degree, on how to present one's application. Just don't listen to "my chances" threads or "do colleges really care about x" threads, because a lot of that information is total ****.

CC helped me alot. I was in the verge of joining about 5-6 clubs just to pad resume in the future app., but I learned that was a common trap that everybody must avoid. I thank CC for reminding me that, and now that I discovered a new passion, I'm concentrating on an activity I really love.

haha thats funny fandagoya. I guess it helps me also to hear some of you guys put it in perspective, the average student probbably does not really measure up to the average CC user...

"i kind of actually hate this board but yet i keep checking all the time..."

"I feel like I'm doing something "productive" when I spend all my time on this board, since it's about college....but I'm really not. x_x"

those two quotes summed me up pretty well

yeah, people, be careful. CC can be described as "productive," but it's pretty easy to get addicted to it and waste a lot of time here. Procrastination, I'd say, is the #1 outcome if you hang yourself here.

procrastination to the max.

It's helping me because I am a procrastinator. And whenever I'm having trouble I can just come here and it wil really improve my procrastinating.
