I can't decide if I should apply early.. will applying regular ruin my chances?

<p>Well not ruin per se.... just lower?
I think my top choice is Smith. However, I could see myself being happy at several other (much harder to get into) colleges.
Pros of ED: get it over with, higher chance of admission
Cons: I guess I wouldn't say I am 100% positive smith is THE one. More like 90% sure... maybe not even that.</p>

<p>I'm well qualified for smith I'd say. Decent SAT scores (2080), in NHS, other ecs, A average, a few distinguishing features, and I think I wrote a good essay. I also interviewed at Smith already and I know at least one of my recs will be great.
Well, what do you say?</p>

<p>If I'm going ED, my parents say I have to do an overnight which is proving very hard to fit into my busy schedule before the deadline.</p>

<p>My fear is that I won't get into Smith if I apply regular decision, and I probably won't get into my other top choices regardless.</p>

<p>I may be over thinking this.
Opinions?</p>

<p>If you can’t find the time to fulfill the one requirement your parents put down for you to have the best shot at your dream school, then maybe it’s not your dream? Or are you actually afraid you’ll get in?</p>

<p>If it’s important, you’ll find a way to make the time.</p>
