Very well, that's fine.

isnt UCSD next to the beach.... nice setting :D

"Social life and sports do not matter"

please go to ucsd, people with your attitude are the reason id hate to be there.

COUNTERSTRIKE PARTY!!!!

Geez, let's just generalize away. I know plenty of counterstrike hating UCSDers.

Warcraft Party!!! Lol

actually, apprently UCSD student's don't deny that claim...

From the Princeton Review's Top 361 Colleges:
Because of UCSD's prominent premed and engineering programs, "most students here are goal-oriented nerds who like to study all the time." Notes one undergrad, "The typical student is an Asian or Caucasian biology or engineering student that spends 60 hours a week studying, .0002 hours a week socializing with other people, .003 hours a week bathing, and the rest of the time is spent playing Counter-Strike?."

nothing like Irvine though...its just like...WOW there (being filipino and not exactly comfortable being around hoardes of asians, it wasn't the most fun experience). i almost went to UCSD...but it really was "settling" for UCSD because being a huge music fan, and the only good venue (despite the good music scene) was Che's for miles around and even less of a social scene...bad news for me. don't get me wrong, i play my fair share of PC games (and other "geeky" things), but there are things much higher on the list of things to do. BUUUUT....apparently your priorities lie elsewhere and that's great. besides the weak social scene, UCSD is an awesome school, i think could have managed going there.

Certainly a good chunk of people are like that, but everybody? That's saying too much.

i thought californians are suppose to be "the cool kids"!! = ="

all the cool californian kids go to community college, duh!

:-P

naw, from my look around there and all the reading i did on it, the whole school definitely isnt like that. considering UCSD is less selective than other colleges like MIT, it gathers a slightly more diverse population...but that still doesn't lessen the fact that compared to other, less specialized schools like UCLA or USC (where no one field of study really takes center stage), it's big on geeks.
